In his latest incarnation in the ever changing art market landscape, gallerist Bill Pugsley has recently reformed as Panorama Design Arts. Still specializing in the Pop darlings, Warhol, Lichtenstein and Haring as he has since 1991, he also incorporates a cross section of Geometric and Abstract Expressionists, Hard Edge and Op with Post War and Modernism. These artists tend to play well together and Bill has built numerous collections, including his own, with this same approach.
“I am a collector as much as I am a dealer, I used to be hyper focused on one or two artists or designers at a time but could no longer limit myself as I’ve aged, there were just too many incredible artists that were doing incredible things for the first time, with materials never used before and with no limitations in the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s. With a little guidance and direction and with the wealth of information out there, people can build a balanced collection of art and design, where textiles and glass and sculpture and painting and graphics can all play a part”.
